Juana's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy construction materials to add on to her home and build a wall around it.

Juana's story

Juana currently lives in Patacamaya, in the department of La Paz. Her main source of income is working as a part-time baby-sitter in the mornings and as a part-time kitchen helper in the afternoons. She lives with her long-term partner, who used to work as a miner, but had to stop working two years ago because of some health problems. That is when she started her two jobs, and they have been able to buy a small plot of land with the money they have saved. They have two daughters, who are in school.

Juana gets up early to prepare her daughters' lunches, because she is out working most of the day. Her income allows her to provide for her family.

Juana plans to use this loan to buy construction materials. She wants to build an add-on to her house as well as an exterior wall, because the family is currently living in one room, which is also the kitchen. This will allow her to improve her whole family's quality of life.
