25-year-old Jorge Luis lives with his wife and children in Oyotún, a community in Chiclayo province which belongs to the region of Lambayaque, on the north coast of Peru. The people there work in farming, trade and cattle rearing. Jorge Luis has been providing entertainment and shows for children for 5 years. He offers this service in his district and the surrounding areas and he also owns a motor-van which he hires out to people who are moving house or want to carry heavy loads. He is applying for the loan to invest in fixed assets - he wants to have some renovation work done on his home. It will help him to provide better service for the clients who come to see him to book children's shows. In the short term, it will enable him to boost his income and improve his earnings and, in the longer term, he will be able to improve his own and his family's quality of life.
