The Communal bank "Nuevo Amanecer" will start the third cycle in Pro Mujer as part of the regional office in Copacabana. It is made up of ten members and is run by a board of directors, of which Herminia is the president. The various business activities that the members do are: making blankets, weaving blankets, sale of barley grains, rearing livestock, sale of potatoes, tourism and mattress making. The various business activities that the members do are: making blankets, weaving blankets, sale of barley grains, rearing livestock, sale of potatoes, tourism and mattress making. The loan that they are requesting will benefit the group of small businesses of which Herminia is a member. She became a member two years ago when the institution carried out a publicity campaign. She currently has a business producing straw mattresses. She learnt this trade from her partner and they decided to go into business together. The loan that they are asking for is to increase their capital so that they can buy fabric wholesale from the traders in the area. Then they will sell their products in the local market. This work allows her to generate an income to support her family, as she is married and has two children. When she is asked what she likes most about 'Pro Mujer', she tells us that it is the life insurance that the organization offers.
