Hanuman Self Help Group is a group consisting of 11 members, all of whom are women. These entrepreneurs are very humble, hardworking and responsible people with good manners and lots of enthusiasm to improve their lives. A few years back, they all were facing the same kind of situation of poverty, so they planned to start a grocery shop where they can provide the basic household consumables to their customers. One of them is Mrs. Santilata who was selected as their president. Santilata is a 52-year-old lady living with her husband and her only child who is working as a laborer in a company. The lady standing fifth from right wearing a yellow sari in the photo is Santilata. Her husband works as a laborer in a factory situated near her village. She runs a grocery shop to help her husband financially. She sells rice, grains, lentils, edible oil, spices, biscuits, soap, detergent, hair oil, etc. in her shop. She has developed a very good relationship with her customers in the village. She likes the fact that she can cater to the needs of the people in her village. She has a plan to make her shop bigger and keep multiple things in her shop to satisfy her customers. She also wants to purchase the items for her shop in bulk directly from the wholesalers. For this reason, she has requested a loan to purchase items like toothbrushes, toothpaste, soft drinks, wheat flour, grains and other household consumables.
