We loan because...
We want to make a difference. We believe in BEING the change we wish to see. We want to track the progress, impact, and see the butterfly effect that this magical weekend had on us!

About us
In July 2012, a small army of remarkable people converged on Portland, Oregon for a weekend of strategizing and adventure. “Living a remarkable life in a conventional world” was one theme, and the audience was packed with diversity. Chris Guillebeau & an anonymous donor made a $100 investment in each of the attendees, and left US with a simple charge: put it to good use! Start a project, surprise someone, or do something entirely different. Some team members may use their $100 this way, others may just divert their normal Kiva lending to this team. I just wanted to TAKE immediate action and DO SOMETHING within 24 hours of returning home. This is it!
