we advocate a plant-based lifestyle for its benefits of health to the individual, compassion for animals, and sustainability for the environment. We only encourage loans that are vegan oriented businesses, i.e., no animal products or animal agriculture involved.

Totally Vegetarian is a Michigan based national nonprofit that encourages the funding of vegan projects worldwide. We recommend Kiva because we do not have the resources to duplicate their efforts and infrastructure.
