We all have a role to play in supporting solutions to combat slave labor. ASSET (the Alliance to Stop Slavery and End Trafficking), the nonprofit I founded in 2007, believes microlending is an important first step in both empowering women, enabling children to go to school, and breaking the cycle of poverty that leads to slavery.
