- FODEMI (Fondo de Desarrollo Microempresarial or Microenterprise Development Fund) is an organization partnered with World Vision International & Kiva funding micro-enterprises in Northern Ecuador. Friends of FODEMI believe in their mission to fund loans to alleviate poverty.
FODEMI has been a Kiva Field partner since May 2011. FODEMI is a non-profit organization working in association with World Vision International. Since 1995, FODEMI has focused on providing access to credit and financial services for clients who cannot obtain credit from formal financial institutions. Their strategy is aimed at alleviating poverty by providing access to economic opportunities to generate income to improve borrowers’ life circumstances. FODEMI is located in the northern region of Ecuador and has an extensive program of outreach in areas both urban and rural and across ethnic groups. They strive to maintain a high percentage of female clients in order to serve their social mission. - Check out:
