About us
This Kiva team makes loans in honor of Doctors Without Borders / Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). Médecins Sans Frontières is an international medical humanitarian organization created by doctors and journalists in France in 1971.

According to their website, MSF provides aid in nearly 60 countries to people whose survival is threatened by violence, neglect, or catastrophe, primarily due to armed conflict, epidemics, malnutrition, exclusion from health care, or natural disasters.

MSF operates independently of any political, military, or religious agenda. In 1999, MSF won the Nobel Peace Prize.

The Kiva team is not officially linked to MSF. All loans made in the name of this team, remain the property of the lender, and are not considered a donation.
