We remember our KivaFriend Laurie with fondness and want to continue lending in her memory.
About us
Our friend Laurie Sutherland passed away unexpectedly on Sept 4, 2012. We remember her generous, giving spirit and her joy in life. (If you click on the quilt square she made, you'll see in the larger picture the smile on the woman *and* the sheep.) She was a very early Kiva lender, and most of her loans were made to borrowers who were involved in food production, mostly in Peru or Tajikistan. We will lend similarly, and in her memory. Rest in peace, Laurie.
