Kiva Lending Team: Friends of Al Majmoua
We loan because...
the Lebanese Association for development - Al Majmoua is an independent, Non Profit Non Governmental Organization helping people to progress out of poverty no matter if they are locals or Palestinian refugees in the camps in southern Lebanon.
Bob Harris (June 5th 2011): "I visited Al Majmoua, whom I adored, about six weeks ago. Great, wonderful people working their butts off. I really like and respect them"
Visit Al Majmoua`s website www.almajmoua.org and have a look at Al Majmoua´s Kiva page: www.kiva.org/partners/77 Al Majmoua has been checked not only by Kiva but also by MIX, which is a US based non profit organization that provides objective data and analysis on microfinance institutions www.mixmarket.org/mfi/al-majmoua Al Majmoua is participating in a microfinance institution network called Sanabel.
This team is small but active. It currently consists of twentyfour members, some of which have experienced Al Majmoua and their work first hand or are there right now. Please join. The more the merrier. We value your input. One idea is to get Al Majmoua more known to lenders on Kiva by attributing loans towards this team which do not necessarily have a direct connection to Lebanon.
