She buys her merchandise from a fabric distributor that specializes in the products she needs for her fashions. She buys her input material in Santiago, because it is much more convenient. One of Sonia's business goals is to purchase high-efficiency machinery in order to serve her customers. She will use the loan to purchase materials for her business. Sonia lives by herself, and her dream is to buy an embroidering machine. She is very grateful and happy with the opportunity offered by Fondo Esperanza, because it has allowed her to invest in her business. Talcahuano is a town and port-city in the Biobío region, in southern Chile. It is known as one of the country's main ports. Its name in mapudungun (mapuche language) means "thundering sky." Angélica is part of the “Todos Juntos” (All Together) communal bank belonging to the city of Viña del Mar. She’s a seamstress and works by herself at home; she’s been in this business for three years. She comments that she buys her supplied directly in stores in the city of Valparaíso because those are places where she finds her merchandise at low cost. She will use the loan to replace her car in order to transport her creations to her customers. One of her goals is to earn more income so that her children can finish their schooling and her task will be complete. Angélica is very happy and grateful for the opportunity Fondo Esperanza is giving her because the loan will allow her to invest in her business. In addition, she feels comfortable in the bank group she belongs to which motivates her to continue participating in the institution. She also comments that the training received at the meetings have served her to better invest in her business. Viña del Mar is a city and commune located on the central coast of Chile; it’s known as the Garden City because of the gardens and patios some of the old houses in the city have. It’s also considered to be Chile’s tourism capital.

Dorys lives with her husband and her daughter, who is a student. Her personal dream is that she would like to have been a police officer. Her family dream is to give her family a better quality of life.
