Duo Salem Group : Guatemala

 $225 of $650 raised.

Started raising funds on Feb 3, 2012

The name of this group is "Dúo Salem" This duo is made up of Gerardo and Hilario. Gerardo is 36, married, and has two children. He tells us he has done paint and body work for ten years. He is applying for this loan because the work he has requires the purchase of a lot of materials, so he wants to buy paint, wiping cloths, acrylic etc., to have ready for the cars.

There is also Hilario. He tells us that he has been a mechanic for ten years and has been the owner of a home-based auto body and repair shop for four years. He is applying for this loan because he needs to buy tools and materials for his work.

This is because there are people who come to leave their cars, and don't give him any advance notice, so he has to buy everything he needs, whether replacement car parts, or paint for doing body work.

In other cases, people don't pay him until the work is done; and this is when sometimes he doesn't have what he needs, so he's late finishing the jobs, because of the money that he has to invest in them. So he needs to stockpile gaskets, silicones, wiping cloths, tools, paint etc. Also, he tells us that he wants to buy a spray gun for painting cars.

He is confident that FAPE can offer him the support he needs, as he is the leader of the duo.

 $150 of $1,175 raised.

Started raising funds on Feb 2, 2012

Rufino, a very good person, is 51 years old. He lives in his own house. As a very small child he began with his sales because he liked selling. He began selling used clothing in a market. With the earnings that those sales generated, he was able to finish building his house and buy more clothing, but this time not used clothing, but rather new. He currently has two stores of new clothing. He is very grateful to the foundation, because through the credits that it has granted to him, he has been able to grow economically and have more merchandise. He is asking for this loan to buy more new, wholesale clothing and to have new designs in shirts and suits for boys and girls.
