Al-Aman’s partnership with Kiva was closed in August 2009 without prejudice after one year of inactivity. Al-Aman has determined that it no longer needs Kiva funding as it recently received a considerable grant that will cover loans to its entrepreneurs for the next three years.

Iraqi Al-Aman center / Kirkuk is a non-governmental organization (NGOs) registered at the ministry of civil society in the office of assisting non-governmental organizations. Its identification number is ID70240, and it as a non-profit organization working independently of the government.

The Iraqi Al-Aman center is funded by the United States Agency of International Development (USAID) through the IZDIHAR Project. By providing funding for microbusinesses, women and jobless people, the Iraqi Al-Amam center serves the people of Kirkuk to help promote social and economic development for the people of Iraq.

The Center was started in July of 2006, and is managed by a board of directors made up of well-known personnel with social and economic influence. The organization's board is a balanced mixture of experts and pioneers, and together they are working hard to lead the organization in the right direction.
