I loan because:
In contrast to most forms of donations and so on, this aid is neither imperialistic in any way nor do we finance marketing campaigns by it. By being very direct as well, this project gains normative relevance without trying to make us having a bad conscience - in fact, kiva makes us delivering any moral judgements by ourselves, which is in my eyes the only honest way. Thus I had no more arguments not to be part of this project: Investing in motivated people who need the money for much more important things than we do seems to be a great thing (even if you wouldn't see any of the money again)!
