Bio:
Yuan has worked for BBC News as a broadcast journalist for the past seven years, latterly as a producer, and across radio, TV and the web. He is now taking some time away from paid employment to pursue his interest in development and microfinance. Extensively travelled in Europe, he has also spent time in Thailand and recently the Ecuadorian rainforest. Yuan is an experienced international election observer, a veteran of missions to Kosovo, Serbia and Russia. He is very excited to be travelling to Cameroon to work with Kiva, GHAPE and the country's micro-entrepreneurs. He speaks a little school French and is currently keenly learning Spanish, albeit with somewhat mixed results.
