I loan because:
I believe microfinancing is a fantastic way of helping people break out of the poverty cycle. If a person has the initiative and the will to develop a new business idea or further develop what they've already started, money should not be the only thing tying them down. I think they should go for it and pursue their dreams.

Once a person has a steady income stream, they will feel much more empowered and confident. It will lead to many positive things, including the ability to build their family a solid foundation.

Microfinancing is great because it's not a hand-out as the borrower is obligated to repay the loan. Hence it is a very sustainable way to help others to help themselves.
