I loan because:
Kiva is an alternative finance system that does good for individuals and encourages responsible lending with the public interest in mind. Imagine that! I especially want to lend to people in El Salvador since working on a film there. Through that experience, I came to realize how much the United States Government did to make life harder and less fair there, for many years of supporting a small ruling oligarchy. I'd like to do my part to give something back to ordinary people there.
About me:
I make independent documentaries about stories with social, historical and political themes. I enjoy the work and the people I meet doing it!
