I loan because:
I like to think that by participating as an individual lender through Kiva, I help people achieve their dreams … because while dreams are universal, opportunity is not. Since my daughter gave me a Kiva gift card in 2009, I've helped fund 38 Kiva loans (35 through Kiva.org and 3 through Kiva Zip). I've also given 10 Kiva gift cards to family members and friends who, in turn, used my gift to fund 14 additional loans. Collectively, this Kiva impact helped fund 52 loans for individuals in 32 countries.
