I loan because:: Because I want to try and make a difference. Kiva offers everyone the opportunity to give money to charity in a way where you can see the good effects that your money is having. It's very exciting to see who you are giving money to and what they are going to spend it on. I think a lot of money that is donated through big charities or by the government is wasted or finds it's way into the hands of unscrupulous people who make themselves rich at the expense of the people who should get the money. The money donated must be given to the people and projects who truly deserve it. In a small way all of us can do this through the Kiva charity.
About me:: I work with the company Tutor Doctor based in Oxford. We offer home tutoring in many different subjects. I love teaching and helping my students learn and develop and of course pass their all important exams. One to one teaching is in many ways the most effective way of teaching a child or young person. As a teacher you can get a better understanding of your student and cater your tuition to their particular strengths and help them overcome their particular weaknesses. I honestly believe that the most important asset a person can have in life is a good education and a willingness to learn. If you develop this at a young age then your life will be so much richer. It is very satisfying knowing that in some small way I have helped a person gain these things.
