Bio:: Taylor is delighted to return to Burundi as Kiva's first fellow in the country. As an undergraduate, Taylor was a founding member of the national executive committee of STAND: A Student Anti-Genocide Coalition, and led strategic programming for the nationwide activist movement. During her senior year she created and taught an undergraduate course on the crisis in Darfur, completed a thesis on the Darfur peace process and led a lecture series on foreign affairs for 400 students and community members. After graduation, she received a grant to conduct an evaluation of NGO-led conflict management trainings with the reintegrated National Police Force in Burundi. She worked for the past two years supporting country operations with the Millennium Challenge Corporation, a new US government agency taking an innovative approach to international economic development. She plans to start graduate studies in international relations this fall with a focus on conflict analysis, and is looking forward to new adventures with inspiring friends in the meantime.
