Suneetha grew up in the rural interiors of India. She pursued her Bachelor of Technology degree in Hyderabad, India and worked as IT consultant for five years. Having worked in the private sector for five years, she has for a long time felt a calling to work as a positive catalyst in the development of a more entrepreneurial environment in India by creating aggressive small scale investment programs. She felt the need to pursue a MBA focusing on Social enterprise /International Development and traveled all the way to Washington, DC to study at Georgetown University. Her passion for development work and interest in Microfinance as a tool for development and women empowerment can be traced to her background. Suneetha is extremely excited to be a part of the Fellows Program for her summer internship and is looking forward to learn as much as possible about microfinance in India.
