The Senior Current Issues class of 2007 feels inspired to donate to Kiva in order to provide the third world with an opportunity to better their economy, which ultimately allows individuals of the third world to better their lives. Furthermore, many of us feel that due to the privileges we have in the United States it is our responsibility to help others who are less fortunate than ourselves. It is important to help people achieve their dreams and we do so by donating through micro loans. Finally, we donate because we want to make a change in the world. We believe that there is no better way to change the world than contributing to the people in it because people are the future of this world. Additionally, we feel that micro loans show the advantages of sharing money but most importantly what sharing compassion can actually do for this world. Also, we have spent a lot of time learning about the third world and realize the poverty that consumes it and the masses of people who suffers from it daily. Donating is a concrete way for us to interact with the third world, but most of all to lend a helping hand and show our concern for others who are underprivileged.
About me:
We are just a group of students that care about being awake to the world, and want to give everyone an opportunity to make their lives a better one to live.
