this is a great way to help people who are beyond needing simple handouts, and to enable the receiver to better their lives, and often their community's life. Further I think KIVA is a better alternative to the large financial corporations ever present in developing countries whose first interest is not the client but the bottom line. Its simply nice to think that in a small way I can help.
