Bio:
Born and raised in Lucerne, Switzerland, Sam Trauffer studied economics, media studies and political sciences at the University of Berne, where he graduated in 2006. Until recently, he worked as an economic adviser at a regional government in St.Gallen, Switzerland. With his interest in microfinance and entrepreneurship, Sam was fascinated by Kiva's approach to help the poor. He is excited to get deeper into microfinance while working in Senegal and to combine his interest in foreign cultures with a positive contribution to Kiva's mission.
