- I am a speaker, writer, and coach at heart. I love helping individuals and communities explore and embrace positive change. Originally, I trained as a medical anthropologist. I'm keenly interested in health care reform, especially its impact on primary care and the urban "safety net". My book, "Surviving HIV/AIDS in the Inner City: How Resourceful Latinas Beat the Odds," was published by the Rutgers University Press in February 2011.
