I loan because:
Helping someone get on their feet to support themselves, and their families is the right thing to do.
About me:
My job is to calculate the structural skeleton on buildings so that they are economical to build, yet strong enough to last. However aside from work, I am just marginally less boring. I spend a lot of time on the computer researching whatever catches my eye on a given day, from medieval dietary staples, to the latest computer processors; I also read the news from all around the world. I am an avid reader, reading mainly science fiction and fantasy; I probably finish 2-3 novels a week, including re-reading many of my favorites. I am also very much into Role Playing Games (RPG), both on the computer and with a weekly Dungeons & Dragons game held in my basement. I have written a few short stories, and have started a few novels, but nothing I really consider good enough, perhaps I am too critical of myself. When not doing what I ask of it, my computers power is lent out to researchers to try to make the world a better place thru a number of research projects, thru the World Community Grid.
