I loan because:
I think that microcredit is a beautiful and powerful concept for helping the developing world, and it makes me very happy to make a demonstrable difference in the life of somebody who really needs it.

Also, microloans are very complicated, logistically speaking, and purely altruistic... If such a thing can succeed through kindness and creativity, it will confirm my best suspicions about the human race.
