I loan because:
I first began lending as part of a social change assignment in Melody McMurry's sociology class. I believe in giving others a helping hand up - not a hand out. We can all offer HOPE by Helping Others Prosper Economically. This year (2012-13) my 4th grade students are in charge of my KIVA account. They put much thought and care into choosing borrowers. It is now March, and they have made 16 loans thus far.
About me:
I'm a lifelong learner, and share my new discoveries with my students. They also share their knowledge with me. Together we are learning more about this great planet we live on. :)
