Much of what I do is based on acting locally and thinking globally. But once in a while, I think it is important to look at the big picture too, and Kiva satisfied a desire I have had for some time to help others, even outside my immediate realm of control. I can do without that extra icecream cone, piece of pizza or CD album. Joining Kiva is also an expresssion of my spirituality in the sense of Buddhist "right action".
About me:
I have a dual careers... one in the health care technology as a software developer, and another as a composer/performer. In both of those areas, technology has changed how we live and work. I like Kiva because it is another example of a great idea that really can change the world.
