Bio:
Michelle considers herself a Melbournian despite having spent her formative years in country Victoria, Australia. Most recently she’s been busy establishing the administrative operations for a newly funded prostate cancer research centre in Brisbane, Australia and has a background in administration management. Michelle is currently completing a Masters in Communication, with an academic interest in new media’s ability to build social cohesion and create meaning through connection. She has lived and worked in the UK and Canada and backpacked her way around Europe, South East Asia, North Africa, South and Central America. She has a passion for people, new cultures and travel and a healthy respect for sustainable development practices, having completed a BA in History & Development Studies. She would like to dedicate more of her working life to a meaningful social endeavour and is looking forward to learning as much as possible through the raw, hands-on experience of her time in Rwanda.
