Prior to becoming a Kiva's fellow, Michelle worked as a lawyer for 6 years in San Francisco, California. At a San Francisco Bar Association event, Michelle learned about Kiva and was inspired by its mission to assist the alleviation of global poverty. Michelle has traveled through developing countries and always felt that she wanted to do more than just be a tourist. Michelle applied for the Kiva fellowship program and was happy to be selected. She is very excited about the new experience that awaits her in Ghana.
