Occupation:
philanthropy
I loan because:
each person has the ability to help another person by extending a hand when they can. By loaning on Kiva, I am giving a hand-up, not a hand-out.
About me:
As a fundraiser for a social justice university, I see myself as a conduit for people who want to change the world. On one side are the donors who want to change the world by contributing their passion and resources to a school. On the other side are the students who need an education on their way to change the world. All parties in this relationship are change agents, and each of us (philanthropist, student and fundraiser) are necessary to make change happen.
