I loan because:: I want to feel that I have some actual power to improve the world, rather than just feeling helpless as most people do these days. I think that Kiva gives me this and I am very happy to support such a good charity.
About me:: I changed my career recently and retrained as a plumber which might seem like an odd choice for a woman but I really enjoy it and find it a lot more satisfying than I did working in the city. I work with Surrey Heating Services, who operate unsurprisingly in the Surrey area, installing heating systems. We work a lot with landlords who need to renovate their properties. What I like about the company is that our work is very good but that we charge a reasonable rates. My dad was a taxi driver which is why I made my first loan to Rolando.
