I loan because:
I've been very successful in my career, and I make Kiva loans to give something back in return for the good fortune that a lifetime of family support, education and luck has brought me. I also have immense respect for the difficulty that women face in developing nations, and wanted to do something to support their efforts. So I set myself a target of 100 loans to women entrepreneurs between 2012 - 2022, based on the findings of the GEM study of developing economies and the role of women.
