One of the goals of Prairie House Gallery is to be a good neighbour. In our purchase, we try to buy local. In our practices, we try to go Green. Kiva gives us one more way to help leave a better place than it might otherwise have been.
About me:
Prairie House Gallery is a small on-line art gallery that features local artists, (Midwestern), and other artists from the United States, We typically buy directly from the artist, or from one of their direct distributors. In this way, we try to make sure that the artist gets a fair price for his or her work. The gallery was our dream. It is more of a "hobby" than a business because we regularly loose money, but we have fun doing it. We are keeping the website for now, but we are not certain what we will do next. We are looking at the possibility of new lines of products, including period artwork prints rescued from damaged books. We also remain committed to the artists that have sold their works with us, and we provide links to the sites of our artists as they develop them.
