We all need help once in a while. Today I am blessed with good health and good prospects and I am in a position to help in a small way. I live in the best country in the world and I like to help those with the spirit to try and make their lives better. I admire the tenacity and ingenuity evident in the many faces I see on KIVA. They are inspiring. The lenders too are inspiring, varied as the applicants it is a joy to be a part of this great organisation.
About me:
I am taking a nursing refresher course at the moment. Something we have to do if we have not practices for more than six years. Although I did work overseas it was casual and not enough to count so it was back to the books fo me. Not a bad thing but just a slow process. Sometimes I feel like I will never get through it. I had fully expected to have to pay for my studies but I was lucky to be granted the entire cost by our provincial government in Alberta. There are not many people who have this privilege. I look at some of the people on KIVA and know that but for my privilege of birth and circumstance I too could be in their situation. I do a little volunteering in the arts here in the city.
