I loan because:
I believe that micro-lending is one of the few ways in which individuals privileged enough to live in the developed world can really make a difference in the lives of the less fortunate. It's a small price to pay for great returns.
About me:
I am currently working on building up experience in the field of international development. I have traveled extensively and, having lived in more than four countries my entire life, I consider myself a citizen of the world.

Bio:
Isabel was born in La Paz, Bolivia but moved to the US when she was 11 years old. After graduating from high school she signed up for the Marine Corps and spend the entirety of her enlistment working overseas. She has lived in Japan, Belgium, Kenya, and Guatemala and has worked in logistics and as a US embassy guard. After leaving the Corps Isabel decided to stay in the DC area and finish working on her bachelor's degree. She decided to study Global Affairs since she hoped to get into the international development field and continue to discover the world. After a successful completion of her undergraduate degree Isabel now finds herself looking forward to a complete career change and to all the amazing changes the future will bring.
