Bio:
Born and raised in Moscow, Russia, Margarita moved to New York City with her family at the age of 12. She graduated from Barnard College, Columbia University with a B.A. in Political Economics in 2005. After 5 years in finance in New York, specifically in private wealth management, she shifted her focus to microfinance. After completing her first fellowship with HOPE Ukraine in Zaporozhye, she is excited to explore microfinance in the Middle East with Kiva's partners in Israel and Palestine.
