I have visited a lot of different countries in Latin America and the Caribbean and I know how powerful small amounts of money can be there. I don't believe in microcredits from big financial Institutions with high interest rates, neither in the development policies of the last fifty years. I think with Kiva I can really help out people without consolidating existing dependency structures between poor and rich countries.
