- I loan because:
- We birds have no need for money. Like the vast majority of humans, all Potoo wants is to have habitat and food, which is why Potoo almost exclusively funds agriculture. Potoo especially likes green / sustainable agriculture, and any loans that allow smallholder farmers to reclaim land that had to be pawned due to illness or other hardship.
- About me:
- I belong to a group of near passerine birds related to the nightjars and frogmouths. We are sometimes called poor-me-ones, after our haunting calls. I am a nocturnal insectivore, but I lack the bristles around the mouth found in the true nightjars. I hunt from a perch like a shrike or flycatcher. During the day I perch upright on tree stumps, camouflaged to look like part of the stump (it's a pretty awesome trick, y'all). I also may have an imaginary affinity to caffeinated drinks... which may explain why I look the way I do and my nocturnal habits. Don't judge.
