Bio:
Lucy has spent the last year living in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This will be her fourth trip to Africa. She divides her time between her interests in studying and teaching West African dance and sustainable development in foreign countries. Lucy has extensive volunteer experience. Most recently she taught English for public school students in Rio aiming to pass the college entrance exam. Microfinance became an interest to her when she got her permaculture degree and has continued to fascinate her through her independent endeavors into socially responsible investing and studies in economics. Lucy speaks Portuguese and Wolof.
