Bio:
Born and raised in Guadalajara, Mexico, Lourdes Toussaint studied Industrial Engineering and focused her work in the non-profit sector. Motivated by the great need to strengthen the organizations dedicated to improve social development in her country she decided to pursue a Master's Degree in Social Work and get some experience working in the USA. She is excited for the opportunity to work directly with a Kiva Field Partner and contribute to Kiva's mission, while witnessing the impact of microfinance in her native country. After the fellowship, Lourdes hopes to pursue a career in microfinance to help deliver meaningful and sustainable change in her country.
