Lorena recently completed a two year contract with the World Bank as a Junior Professional Associate within the Asia Knowledge and Learning Group serving East and South Asia country office staff, where she developed and delivered operational and technical training courses. Prior to her JPA appointment she worked as a loan officer for the Brooklyn Cooperative Federal Credit Union. She has also managed the delivery of financial education curricula and a federally funded Individual Development Account (IDA) program. Through these experiences she gained a hands-on view of how financial services can help individuals acquire assets. Lorena is eager to leverage her Kiva Fellowship experience to further her career in international development. Lorena originally hails from Brooklyn, New York, and earned her bachelor's degree in Economics from St. Lawrence University.
