- I loan because:
- I'm a Christian on a low wage for my country and this is an easy way for me to help by loaning money I have saved for next year etc, where I couldn't give at the same level. Also people give me money to do the job I do so this is a way for me to help others like they help me. I think wealth is badly distributed in the world too and want to help with that where I can. I heard about Kiva on a website I found called nerdfighters which is partly about trying to make the world a better place. I would also like someone to give me a loan if I needed one and am blessed to live in a country where I could get one if I needed. I think kiva is a brilliant idea!
- About me:
- I work with young people in a disadvantaged part of the Scottish city I live in. We aim to get to know young people and help them to find out about God if they want to. God has made such huge changes in my life, healing me of illness and of emotional issues and just generally doing so much for me in little and big ways, that I want to let other people know that He is there for them if they want, but I'm still learning so much about Him and how to follow Him myself! Generally, we want to be available for God to use us to make a positive difference in the lives of young people, their families and the rest of the community. Mostly, I find in reality that the young people encourage me! I'm also studying for a degree in Youthwork with Applied Theology.
