Bio:
Leigh graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2007 with a major in Finance and a minor in Japanese. As a lover of foreign languages and cultures, she also studied Spanish and spent a semester taking classes in Toledo, Spain. Originally from Philadelphia, Leigh spent one year after college doing investment banking in New York and, until recently, worked as a financial analyst at an investment firm in San Diego, CA. Leigh has passed all three levels of the Chartered Financial Analyst exams and has extensive experience in equity investing. Although she enjoys working in finance, Leigh has always wanted to spend time volunteering abroad and was thrilled to find the Kiva Fellows Program, which combines her background in finance with her love of philanthropy and travel. Leigh is extremely eager to see microfinance in action while in Ecuador and to experience all South America has to offer; even the mosquitoes.
