- I loan because:
- I once spent half a year abroad in Brazil for an internship. When I had just arrived at the airport and stood there completely lost, a friendly woman offered me a ride into town. On the drive she told me in rather broken english that her daughter was abroad herself and that she hoped that someone would similarly help her daughter, if she needed it. I liked this thought: that we can help each other, even though half the globe might be between us. And that maybe, in some form or another, this help might even come back to us when we need it.
