Bio:
Laura grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, and studied International Business at the University of Alabama. She spent her junior year of college in Munich, Germany, and quickly fell in love with the adventures of living abroad. Following graduation, she moved back to Germany, where she spent three years in the media industry, consulting a diverse portfolio of national and international corporations on their advertising strategies. After that, she spent two years as a marketing manager for a rapidly expanding software company, overseeing the marketing strategy for the German, Swiss and Austrian markets. Laura is an avid traveler and recently took part in a “Charity Challenge” trekking tour to the Base Camp of Mount Everest in support of children affected by war in Africa and the Middle East. Laura now aspires to enter the International Development sector and is very excited about the practical experience and knowledge that she will be able to acquire as a Kiva Fellow.
