- I want to do what little I can to help a few of the poor people of Honduras to have a better life.
Much of the aid sent to Honduras is diverted into the wrong hands or is used in a manner that doesn't really help the poor. Kiva gives me the opportunity to help someone, who I choose, more or less directly. I like that.
I was so impressed with the concept of Kiva and the journals that I read that I had to help.

- I work at home in La Ceiba, Honduras, caring for my house and my garden. I grow vegetables and I've just begun raising chickens for eggs.
