Bio:
Originally from Saigon, Viet Nam, Khiem's family immigrated to the U.S. when he was six. Khiem initially resided in La Crosse, WI for a short time before moving to Southern California where he attended nearby UC Irvine. While in school he juggled majors in Computer Engineering, International Studies and Management as well as an internship, a part-time job, and mentoring high school students in Santa Ana. While studying in France and working in India, he took the opportunity extensively explore and travel the region; he has travelled to over 23 countries on five continents. His love for travelling stems from his curiosity for adventure and he sees each experience as an opportunity to learn more about the world and himself. He spent the last three years working in the banking and capital markets industry as a technology analyst/consultant. Khiem is honored to be selected as a Kiva Fellow and is excited to pursue his passion for business, technology, and exploration in the microfinance industry.
